raise Warning Messages in Odoo

Again , I’m here for you to give some Amazin Tips for your Odoo Apps.

In this Odoo Technical Tips Tutorial, I would like to explain how to raise Warning popup Messages in Odoo

  • Warning messages in odoo is used to give message alert to the users when he/she performs such actions, there are 2 types of warning messages in odoo:
  1. Warning message which does not restricts user from performing further actions
  2. Warning message which restricts user from performing further actions

1.Raise Warning messages which does not restricts user from performing further actions

  • In this type of warning messages odoo just simply shows a warning message, and user can ignore it an perform further action
  • just go through following example

Raise warning message alert Example : 

2.Warning messages which restricts user from performing further actions

  • This type of  warning messages in odoo is used to restrict users from performing unauthorized task
  • for example an salesperson can create only worth : 120000 sale orders or less and if salesperson try to confirm sale order more than amount 120000 then raise Warning
  • It will displays warning message in dialog box and restrict sales person from creating an order
  • So user can not ignore this this type of warning messages
  • just go through following example
